VI FIA USAC International Art Festival

For sixth year this artistic festival will be held at the halls of the University Auditorium in the 2nd. Avenue and 12 Street Zone 1, from September 30 to October 16. Expressions of dance, theater, music, poetry and cinema will be the main attractions and the entrance to all activities is free. For schedules and presentations see the billboard on Facebook.

Night of Terror

Night of fright and appearing at the Convent of Santo Domingo

You can be part of a storyteller to learn the scariest legends of Guatemala. In addition, a mapping projection in which you will know the history of the Convent of Santo Domingo. But that is not all! You will have to be brave and overcome the challenge of a maze in which characters such as El Sombrerón, La Siguanaba, La Tatuana, El Chamán, and the souls of the convent will chase you.

To obtain your tickets you must call 4974-6886, as soon as possible since they are limited. This activity will be held on October 19, 26 and 30.

It is not suitable for children under 10, pregnant women, and people with heart problems.

Cultural night for education

The National Ballet of Guatemala and the Modern and Folkloric Ballet come together in a cultural night to contribute to education in Guatemala. It will be a beautiful show where you will not only enjoy, but support a good work! The funds raised will go directly to the Association for Education "Padre José Halpin", which for 6 years provides scholarships to poor children.
It will take place on October 24 at the "Teatro de Cámara Hugo Carrillo", Miguel Angel Asturias Cultural Center, 24 calle 3-81 zona 1. To buy your ticket, contact the organizers through a private message on their Facebook page.

All Saints Day and Kite Festival

Each November first, residents of Santiago Sacatepéquez and Sumpango honor the dead by flying vibrantly colored religious or folkloric themed kites made of cloth, paper and bamboo. You can see these incredible creations high over local cemeteries.
